Vietnamese, Indian firms seek cooperation in electrical and electronics sectors

Vietnamese and Indian enterprises in the electrical and electronics sectors on December 5 discussed cooperation opportunities. Indian Ambassador to Vietnam Sandeep Arya said there is huge room for the electrical and electronics sector to grow, especially after Vietnam approved the Power Development Plan VIII.

Experts at the event expected Indian companies to provide high-quality products and solutions for the partnership while the Embassy of India in Hanoi planned to organize more events in this sectors.

Vietnam pledges long-term policy for French investors

At the opening ceremony of a France-South East Asia Trade and Investment Forum on December 4, Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hong Dien reaffirmed Vietnam's commitment to providing long-term policy stability for French and EU investors operating in the country. The forum, attended by more than 200 French companies and businesses from ASEAN countries, aims to boost cooperation between France and Southeast Asian countries, including Vietnam.

As part of Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Week 2023, new waterway tours have been launched in District 7 to diversify tourism offerings and promote tourist destinations. The city targets to turn waterway tourism into a distinctive feature by 2030.

Art exhibition marks fifth anniversary of Hue Fine Arts Museum

Hue Fine Arts Museum opened an exhibition of valuable artworks on December 5 to celebrate its 5th anniversary. The exhibition consists of more than 140 items in the form of paintings, sculptures, video recordings, and graphic designs. Half of them are created by local artists.

The month-long exhibition, which ends on December 31, is a tribute to the artists, organizations, and individuals who together have built the art industry for Hue and the museum.

Ho Chi Minh City, Thai Consulate General seek to strengthen comprehensive ties

Ho Chi Minh City valued its decentralized cooperation with Thai partners and hopes to strengthen Vietnam-Thailand relations in all fields, Vo Van Hoan, Deputy Chairman of the metropolis People's Committee, said on December 5.

Wiraka Moodhitaporn, Consul General of the Royal Thai Consulate General, said her office is committed to promoting relations between the two nations in all fields and encouraging Thai investors to come to Vietnam and follow local regulations on corporate social responsibility.

FPT partners with Faeger to promote green agriculture in Vietnam

Vietnam’s FPT Corporation and Japan's Faeger will accelerate the implementation of technology in agriculture and forestry to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and facilitate Vietnam's ecological transition. The two sides inked a memorandum of understanding in Tokyo, Japan, on December 1 that also helps improve the effectiveness of Japanese investments in green transition.
