National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man pays tribute to Nagasaki A-bomb victims

Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Thanh Man and his wife laid a wreath at the Nagasaki Peace Park to honor atomic bomb victims and visited the Nagasaki Atomic Bomb Museum on December 7. He also met with the Vietnamese community in south-central Japan, emphasizing ties with overseas Vietnamese and support for consular services in the region.

Vietnam strengthens ties with Venezuela's PSUV

Venezuelan PSUV Vice President Rander Pena on December 7 proposed enhancing ties with the Communist Party of Vietnam during talks with Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son in Hanoi. He highlighted the importance of cooperation in cadre training and expanding outreach to Latin America, citing President Maduro's directive to prioritize relations with Vietnam. Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son underscored the significance of mutual political trust and called for the removal of obstacles to key joint projects to strengthen bilateral relations.

Hanoi hosts sustainable vehicle expo

The Vietnam Sustainable Vehicle Expo 2024 opened on December 7 at Yen So Park in Hanoi, featuring eight brands including VinFast, Mitsubishi, Honda, and Subaru. The event, which will be closed on December 8 showcases over 40 eco-friendly models, including, highlights such as new models from VinFast and Mitsubishi, as well as test drives and family activities.

International Food Festival promotes cultural exchange in Hanoi

The 2024 International Food Festival, themed "Gastronomy of Unity," takes place in Hanoi on December 7-8, featuring more than 70 booths from 60 countries. Highlights include iconic Vietnamese dishes such as pho and regional specialties, as well as international cuisines. The event promotes cultural exchange, culinary diplomacy, and showcases Vietnam's diverse culinary heritage. It is expected to attract some 50,000 visitors.

Vietnam sees over 218,000 new and reactivated businesses in 2024

Vietnam recorded more than 218,000 new and reactivated enterprises from January to November, up 7.4% year-on-year. Newly registered capital totaled VND1.4 trillion (nearly US$59.3 billion). The service sector led the way with 111,400 new enterprises, an increase of 0.2% year-on-year.

Thanh Hoa launches new trekking routes to boost ecotourism

The central province of Thanh Hoa announced trekking routes in Ba Thuoc District on December 7 to promote sustainable tourism and nature conservation. Highlights include trekking routes to Pu Gio Peak, Po Mu Heritage Tree, and Seven Tier Waterfall. Furthermore, the Pu Luong area with its diverse ecosystem stands out as a key attraction.
