Politburo sets up Central Steering Committee for Digital Transformation

The Politburo on January 13 established the Central Steering Committee for the Development of Science, Technology, Innovation and Digital Transformation, headed by General Secretary To Lam. The committee will focus on proposing and implementing breakthrough initiatives in digital transformation. A national conference on the topic was also held on the same day to advance progress in these critical areas.

Vietnam to strengthen cooperation with Mongolia

President Luong Cuong stressed Vietnam's commitment to strengthening cooperation with Mongolia in trade, investment and defense during his meeting with Chief of Staff of the Mongolian Presidential Office Gombojav Zandanshatar on January 13. Gombojav Zandanshatar expressed the desire to strengthen political trust, maintain high-level exchanges, and expand cooperation in areas beneficial to both nations.

Vietnam and Finland sign MOU on labor migration

Vietnam and Finland signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on January 13, establishing a partnership on labor migration. The agreement, which will be effective from 2025 to 2030, aims to ensure the rights of Vietnamese workers in Finland and prevent abuses. Currently, 55 Vietnamese workers are employed in Finland, earning between 1,500 and 2,000 euros per month.

Vietnam Airlines shows safety excellence with global recognition

Vietnam Airlines is ranked 22nd in Airline Ratings' Top 25 Safest Airlines 2025, the only Vietnamese carrier on the list. With a 27-year accident-free record and compliance with IOSA standards since 2006, the ranking underscores the airline's commitment to global safety excellence.

Quang Ninh boosts maritime growth with record cargo performance

The northern coastal province of Quang Ninh's seaports reached a record of nearly 150 million tons of cargo in 2024, up 7.8% from 2023. Ho Citadel celebrates Lunar New Year with heritage-focused events

The Ho Citadel Heritage Center in the central province of Thanh Hoa will host a series of events to celebrate the Lunar New Year 2025. These include a spring flower and bonsai exhibition on January 14 and "Ancient Tet at the Citadel" on January 19. The Ho Citadel was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2011 for its unique limestone architecture. The events aim to celebrate heritage and attract visitors to this historic site in the province.

Deaf-mute artists inspire creativity and community at art exhibition

The exhibition "Southern Colors" by deaf-mute artists is on display at HCMC Book Street until January 16. Featuring more than 70 paintings, it showcases the vibrant southern landscapes and resilience of artists with disabilities of all ages from across Vietnam, united by their shared passion for art and efforts to integrate into the community through creativity.
