World renowned saxophonist Kenny G arrives in Hanoi for second time

American saxophonist Kenny G arrived at Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi on November 12 to prepare for his performance at the National Convention Center in Hanoi on November 14, marking Kenny's second trip to Vietnam after his first in 2015.

During the performance, Kenny G will perform hits from his career such as Going Home, The Joy of Life, Forever in Love and My Heart Will Go On. He will also perform a Vietnamese folk song. His saxophone will be auctioned off for charity.

Promotional event showcasing traditional Korean cuisine in Haiphong City

A promotional event of traditional Korean cuisine called "Autumn Cuisine of the Port City" introduced visitors and residents to traditional Korean dishes at the Hai Phong Vocational Education and Women's Development Support Center in the port city of Haiphong on November 11 and 12. The dishes were prepared by Korean mothers of Vietnamese descent with the aim of promoting the unique characteristics of Korean cuisine to the people of Vietnam and Haiphong City.

Visitors to the event had the opportunity to enjoy and take pictures with famous Korean landscape paintings.

Vietnam's VinFast Auto Ltd. announced at Electrify Expo 2023 its aggressive plans for expansion in the US, with more than 70 dealer applications in hand. Updates on dealer agreements are expected to be announced in the coming months, allowing VinFast to begin selling its EVs through dealers across the US, including its existing showrooms, by the end of 2024.

Second long-distance air race to take place later this month

The second long-distance Putaleng Sky Gliding Competition will be held in Tam Duong District, Lai Chau Province, from November 24 to 26. The gliders will take off from Si Thau Chai Village, Ho Thau Commune, and land at Tam Duong Stadium in the district's capital.

The competition is one of the serial activities of the 2023 Tam Duong District Culture and Tourism Week. Other major events of the week-long festival include a marathon race, a tour of Tac Tinh Waterfall, displays of local cultures by ethnic minorities, and a fair to promote local products and services.

700 representatives attend Vietnam-China international trade fair

More than 700 representatives from Vietnam and China attended the 23rd Vietnam-China International Trade Fair in the northern province of Lao Cai. The fair featured over 600 commercial booths, attracting businesses and cooperatives from 46 provinces and cities in Vietnam and over 150 small and large Chinese enterprises. The fair will run until November 15.

Vietnam wins eight gold medals at World Bodybuilding Championships

Vietnam won eight gold medals at the 14th WBPF World Bodybuilding and Physique Championships & Congress held in Wonju City, Gangwon Province, South Korea. Vietnamese bodybuilders won 18 medals, ranking third in the total medal tally after Mongolia and India. This is also the best ranking for Vietnam in the competition.

The World Bodybuilding and Physique Competition was held from November 6 to 12, with 300 athletes from 39 countries and territories.

Vietnam creative education alliance introduced

A consortium of educational and technological institutions has announced the establishment of the Vietnam Creative Education Alliance. The alliance, which consists of three founding members of Homely Edutech, Dotb and Trobz, aims to develop solutions and technologies that optimize time and costs and maximize efficiency for the Vietnamese startup and education community.

At the launch, the Alliance accepted the addition of one new member and is taking the necessary steps to admit five more.
