Vietnam and Singapore agree on community engagement

The Vietnam Fatherland Front and Singaporean People’s Association on November 13 signed an memorandum of understanding (MOU) to enhance cooperation in community management and citizen engagement for 2024-2026.The MOU focuses on sharing experiences in community connectivity, self-governance, promoting public participation in social management, and bridging the gap between citizens and government. Both sides will exchange high-level delegations and conduct a two-year review to enhance the effectiveness of cooperation.

Virtual reality exhibition showcases Temple of Literature and Bac Ninh's heritage

A virtual reality exhibition showcasing Hanoi's Temple of Literature and academic traditions of the northern province of Bac Ninh was held on November 13. Running until December 31, the exhibition highlights the Temple of Literature as a center of Vietnamese scholarship and Bac Ninh’s legacy of temples and scholars, showcasing the region’s rich cultural and intellectual heritage. By combining traditional displays with virtual technology, the exhibition gives the public a deeper insight into this heritage and promotes a spirit of learning.

Long An seeks stronger economic ties with French localities

At the event held in Paris on November 13 (local time), the southern province of Long An expressed its desire to strengthen cooperation with localities in France in economic and infrastructure investment. The province's economy has shown stable growth, ranking 12th in the country and leading in governance quality and attracting foreign direct investment. France is currently the second largest EU investor in Long An, with 12 projects and a total capital of US$161 million.

Green SM delivers record 3,300 electric cars to An Taxi

Hotel and restaurant operator An An's Garden has agreed to purchase and lease nearly 3,300 VinFast electric vehicles from Green SM meet local travel demand. Under the deal, the vehicles will be operatedby An Taxi, the month-old electric taxi brand launched by An An's Garden. The company aims to have 3,900 vehicles by mid-2025 for green tourism in Son Tay and surrounding areas.

500 artists gather in Hanoi to celebrate Vietnam's resilience

Nearly 500 artists will gather in Hanoi on November 18 for the televised event "Together to Protect the Nation". The program will mark the 80th anniversary of the Vietnam People's Army, the 35th anniversary of National Defense Day, and the 70th anniversary of the liberation of Hanoi. It will feature historical and patriotic themes, combining 3D mapping, surround sound and laser effects to celebrate Vietnam's resilience and unity.

Khanh Hoa draws 9.5 million visitors, expands international flights

The central coastal province of Khanh Hoa welcomed nearly 9.5 million visitors from January to October, up 55.3% on-year. Of the figure, international arrivals soared 134% to 3.8 million. The province received VND47 trillion (US$1.93 billion) in revenue. To further diversify, new direct flights to Europe, Taiwan and other regions are planned to broaden visitor sources.

Foxconn subsidiary boosts investment in Bac Giang, creating 1,450 jobs

Shunsin Vietnam Technology, a member of semiconductor manufacturer Foxconn, plans to set up an integrated circuit manufacturing plant in Quang Chau Industrial Park, Bac Giang for $80 million. Of the total expense, the company will self-finance $20 million and borrow the rest. The project, which is expected to begin trial operations in June 2026, will target exports to the US, EU and Japan and create around 1,450 jobs with advanced automated production lines.
