Vietnam's Nghinh Phong Square wins Asian Landscape Award 2023

Nghinh Phong Square in Tuy Hoa City in the central coastal province of Phu Yen has become the only project in Southeast Asia to win the Asian Landscape Award in 2023. The award praises Nghinh Phong Square for its community space that connects people and its flexible and adaptable construction ideas in harsh coastal weather conditions. 

Inauguration of Phase 1 of the Vietnam Bear Rescue Center

On November 17, the Animals Asia Foundation (AAF), in coordination with the Department of Forest Protection (Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development), launched Phase 1 of the Vietnam Bear Rescue Center in Bach Ma National Park in the central province of Thua Thien-Hue. Costing US$10.5 million in AAF non-refundable assistance, the project, the second branch of the Vietnam Bear Rescue Center, will be able to care for more than 300 bears once it is put into operation in 2026.

Online Safety Handbook for the Elderly launched in Vietnam

The Online Safety Handbook has been launched by the Information Security Department (Ministry of Information and Communications) in cooperation with Google to equip the elderly with knowledge about online spaces at khonggianmang.vn.

Hanoi's agricultural and forestry exports reach $1.3 billion in Jan-Sep

In the first nine months of 2023, Hanoi's agricultural and forestry exports earned $1.3 billion. Among them, agricultural exports were $777 million, an increase of 22.9% year-on-year. The information was announced at a conference held on November 17.

Nearly 100 booths of enterprises working in electrical and electronics, machinery, processing industry, pharmaceuticals and medical equipment, and textiles and garments participated in the Industrial Products Fair in Hanoi's Industrial Parks 2023 at Kim Chung Workers' Housing Area in Dong Anh District. The event, held from November 17 to 19, aims to promote production linkages between enterprises inside and outside industrial parks and cooperation in investment and business activities.

HCM City calls on US firms to invest in energy and high-tech sectors

During the APEC Leaders' Week in San Francisco from November 11 to 17, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Phan Van Mai called on large US companies in the fields of energy, infrastructure, hi-tech, information technology, finance and innovation to invest in Ho Chi Minh City. The event witnessed the signing of four memoranda of understanding and two letters of interest between organizations and enterprises to promote green growth and hi-tech projects in Ho Chi Minh City.

Hanoi hosts Electric & Technology Promotion Day

The Hanoi Department of Industry and Trade launched the "Electric & Technology Promotion Day" on November 17 on the pedestrian street of Hoan Kiem Lake as part of the Hanoi Promotion Program 2023. During the three-day event, visitors can participate in various promotional programs with discounts of up to 100% and enjoy artistic performances and attractive giveaways.
