Party General Secretary To Lam to visit Malaysia

General Secretary To Lam and his wife will pay an official visit to Malaysia from November 21 to 23 at the invitation of Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim. Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam launch joint rescue drill in Kampong Chhnang

The armed forces of Cambodia, Laos, and Vietnam launched a joint rescue drill on November 18 at the Royal Cambodian Gendarmerie Training Center in Kampong Chhnang Province, Cambodia. The exercise, led by the defense ministries of the three nations, aims to strengthen cooperation in disaster response and involves nearly 700 troops. The exercise is scheduled to conclude on November 26.

The pavilion showcased prominent products such as coffee, spices, dried fruits, and herbal beverages. This is an important opportunity for Vietnamese enterprises to access international markets, promote product quality, and increase exports, especially to the US market.

Vietnam showcases traditional cuisine in Macau

Vietnam is participating in the 24th Macau Food and Culture Festival (November 15 - December 1), with a booth featuring specialties such as Pho (rice noodles with beef or chicken), fresh spring rolls, grilled pork noodles, and 3D jelly desserts. The activity aims to promote Vietnamese culture, enhance international exchanges, and promote traditional cuisine at this international event.

Vietnam strengthens its position as a nearshoring hub

Vietnam has emerged as the top nearshoring destination, overtaking Mexico, according to S&P Global Market Intelligence. Companies such as Samsung, Nike, Adidas, and Intel have moved production to Vietnam to secure supply chains and avoid disruptions. Key factors include Vietnam's strategic location, competitive labor costs, government investment incentives, and skilled workforce, making it increasingly attractive to international companies.

Quang Binh advances industrial growth with new investment

The Cam Lien Industrial Park project in the central province of Quang Binh has been approved with a total investment of VND1.8 trillion (US$75 million). Covering an area of 450 hectares, the project aims to improve infrastructure and align with Quang Binh's industrial expansion plans, which include 10 industrial parks by 2050.

Danang highlights cultural heritage through exhibitions and markets

The 2024 Danang Cultural Heritage Festival, themed "Village Stories, City Tales," will be held at the Danang Museum on November 22-23. The event will feature exhibitions on village community houses, French-era urban sketches, and iconic architectural models.
