Vietnam and Armenia strengthen economic ties

Vietnam and Armenia agreed to expand economic and trade ties during a meeting between the Deputy chairpersons of their parliaments in Laos on October 19. Bilateral trade has seen significant growth, reaching US$62.6 million in 2022, an increase of 469% from 2021, and US$342 million in 2023, up 516%. Both nations want to boost cooperation through increased delegation exchanges and intergovernmental committee meetings.

Nearly 100 Vietnamese companies participate in SIAL Paris 2024

Nearly 100 Vietnamese companies showcased rice, pepper, processed food and other products at the SIAL Paris 2024 International Food Fair from October 19-23. The event is an opportunity for businesses to promote their products, network with international partners, and explore market trends. First held in 1964, SIAL Paris is a leading global event for the food industry and is expected to attract 285,000 visitors and 7,500 exhibitors this year.

Quang Binh recognizes Temple of Holy Mother Lieu Hanh as a tourist site

The central province of Quang Binh on October 19 recognized the Temple of Holy Mother Lieu Hanh in Quang Trach District as a provincial tourist site. Built in 1557, the temple is dedicated to Holy Mother Lieu Hanh, an important figure in Vietnamese folk beliefs. Halal conference to be held in Hanoi

A conference to promote the development of the halal industry will be held in Hanoi on October 22. First Vietnamese-branded minibus launched
Kim Long X9, the first Vietnamese-branded minibus, was unveiled in Hue on October 19. This marks a milestone in Vietnam's automotive industry, as the Kim Long X9 was designed entirely by Vietnamese engineers. The minibus, which is available in several versions, meets various passenger transportation needs, targeting both domestic and international markets with a focus on quality and innovation.

Contest boosts students' knowledge of motorcycle safety and traffic laws

The 2024 Northern Region Traffic Law and Safe Motorcycle Riding Skills Contest was held in the northern province of Thai Nguyen on October 19. The event aimed to improve students' traffic safety awareness and motorbike riding skills to reduce accidents and community losses. Over 250 students participated and prizes were awarded to the best teams from five universities.
