Vietnamese Prime Minister to attend ASEAN Summits in Laos

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh will lead Vietnam's high-level delegation to the 44th and 45th ASEAN Summits and related meetings in Vientiane, Laos, from October 8-11, at the invitation of Lao Prime Minister and ASEAN Chair Sonexay Siphandone.

Significant increase in tourist arrivals in central Vietnam

Several central Vietnamese provinces saw a significant increase in tourist arrivals between January and September. Quang Binh received over 4.2 million visitors, Quang Nam almost 6.5 million, Khanh Hoa 9 million, and Binh Dinh over 8 million.

Vietnam's FDI expands 11% in 3Q

Vietnam attracted nearly US$25 billion in FDI in the first three quarters, up 11.6% from 2023. Major investors included Singapore, China, and Japan, with a focus on sectors such as semiconductors and energy. The foreign-invested sector had a trade surplus of US$38 billion, contributing to Vietnam's overall surplus of US$19.8 billion.

Vietnamese kickboxing team to compete in Asian championship

Vietnam's kickboxing team, consisting of 32 athletes and 9 coaches, will compete in the Asian Kickboxing Championship in Cambodia from October 4 to 14. The team includes SEA Games champions Nguyen Quang Huy and Huynh Van Tuan. Vietnam hopes to achieve good results and gain valuable experience at this prestigious continental competition.

Premier swim-run competition set for Ho Tram

DNSE Aquaman Vietnam 2024, a premier swim-run competition, will be held on December 1 in Ho Tram, Vung Tau. This third edition is expected to attract 2,000 participants, including national champions and ambassadors such as Lam Quang Nhat and Anh Vien, in four race categories. It aims to promote aquathlon and showcase Ho Tram's natural beauty to local and international athletes.

Gala celebrates innovation and sustainability in Vietnam

The Better Choice Awards 2024 Gala, held on October 2 at the National Innovation Center in Hoa Lac, celebrated innovation and smart solutions for consumers. Major winners included Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 for the Smart Choice Awards and Vinfast VF7 for the Car Choice Awards. The event highlighted innovation and sustainability through performances and workshops, while encouraging future collaboration between NIC and VCCorp.
