Vietnam-China to Strengthen Partnership

Chinese Premier Li Qiang will visit Vietnam from October 12 to 14 at the invitation of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh. This visit aims to enhance the comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and China, focusing on increasing economic, trade, and infrastructure cooperation, particularly in northern railway projects.

Philippine President Marcos seeks Vietnam's support for food security

Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos sought Vietnam's continued support for food security and agricultural trade agreements during a meeting with Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh in Laos on October 8. Both leaders praised the development of their strategic partnership. They agreed to strengthen cooperation in areas such as maritime, economic, and food security, while also working closely together in international forums.

Ninh Binh to Boost Tourism with Forestival and Heritage Legends Events

The northern province of Ninh Binh is set to enhance its tourism offerings with the Forestival program in December 2024 and the Heritage Legends program in March 2025. The Forestival program will feature a creative week and a music festival, while the Heritage Legends program will showcase performances by renowned artists. Both events aim to highlight Ninh Binh as a safe and attractive destination, drawing in both domestic and international tourists.

HCMC strengthens ties with Basque Country in machinery and automation

Ho Chi Minh City and the Basque Country (Spain) strengthened cooperation in engineering, machinery, and automation at a trade conference on October 8. The Basque Country's expertise in machinery, steel, and energy provides opportunities for cooperation. Ho Chi Minh City's exports reached US$33.82 billion from January to September, up 10.2% year-on-year, while imports reached US$44.1 billion, up 6.4% year-on-year.

VNVC and Sanofi to strengthen cooperation in the production of vaccines

Vietnam Vaccine Joint Stock Company (VNVC) and Sanofi signed a memorandum of understanding on October 8 in Paris to collaborate on the production of Sanofi vaccines at VNVC's facility in Vietnam. The partnership will give VNVC access to Sanofi's technology, aiming at improving access to vaccines. ensuring a stable supply, and reducing costs for the Vietnamese population.

My Son improves visitor experience with online ticketing

My Son Heritage, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in the central province of Quang Nam, has launched an online ticketing platform, mysonticketonline.vn, in English and Vietnamese. This supports its digital transformation and enhances convenience and security. Known for its ancient Cham temples, My Son also uses technology such as audio guides and virtual reality to enrich the visitor experience.

Charity golf tournament raises funds for scholarships

The 17th annual "Swing for the Kids 2024" charity golf tournament was held in Hanoi from October 8 to 12 to raise scholarship funds for disadvantaged students. In 16 years, the tournament has raised more than VND22 billion (US$900,000), providing more than 21,000 scholarships and supporting educational institutions in 40 provinces across Vietnam.

Ho Chi Minh City promotes fish sauce and local cuisine

Ho Chi Minh City will host its first Traditional Fish Sauce Festival from October 23 to 27, featuring more than 150 booths from across Vietnam. The festival will showcase regional fish sauces, local dishes, and production processes. The event aims to celebrate fish sauce, a key element of Vietnamese cuisine while promoting tourism and trade.
