Hanoi's digital economy aims to account for 30% of GRDP by 2030

The share of Hanoi's digital economy is expected to reach 30% of the city's GRDP by 2025.

The latest plan issued by the Hanoi People's Committee outlines the goal of achieving a digital economy proportion of at least 10% in each sector and field, along with an annual labor productivity increase of more than 7%. This plan is part of Hanoi's broader strategy for digital transformation and the development of a smart city by 2025, with a vision extending to 2030.

Additionally, the municipal People's Committee emphasizes the need to continue implementing a comprehensive and synchronized approach to ensure the connection and sharing of digital data by regulations. The committee discourages the development of small-scale applications specific to individual units and underscores the importance of building upon previous efforts to establish e-government in alignment with the city's regulations.
