Vietnamese Prime Minister congratulates new French PM

Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on September 7 sent a message of congratulations to Michel Barnier on his appointment as Prime Minister of France. Known for his key role in the Brexit negotiations, Barnier has over 40 years of experience in French and European politics, having served as foreign minister, agriculture minister, and European commissioner.

Mozambican President visits Vietnam

President of the Republic of Mozambique, Filipe Jacinto Nyusi, and his wife will pay an official visit to Vietnam from September 8-10 at the invitation of General Secretary of the Communist Party and President of Vietnam, To Lam and his wife. Highlights of the bilateral relationship include agriculture and telecommunications, with Vietnam providing technical assistance in food crops and the operation of Movitel, a joint venture between Viettel and the SPI Group with a total investment of US$600 million.

Concert celebrates Vietnam-Sweden diplomatic relations

A concert celebrating the 55th anniversary of Vietnam-Sweden diplomatic relations was held on September 6 at Musikaliska Kvarteret in Stockholm, Sweden. Featuring performances by artists from the Vietnam National Academy of Music, including many trained in Sweden, the event highlighted the enduring friendship and cultural cooperation between the two nations, blending traditional Vietnamese music with jazz and classical genres.

Vietnamese Ao Dai Club founded in Belgium

The Vietnamese Ao Dai Club was officially launched in Belgium on September 7 to unite the Vietnamese community in Belgium and promote Ao Dai. Vietnamese Ambassador to Belgium Nguyen Van Thao emphasized the importance of this traditional costume in spreading national culture and showing the beauty and grace of Vietnamese women.

Vietnam Festival opens in Japan

The 8th Vietnam Festival was inaugurated in Japan's Kanagawa Prefecture on September 7. The two-day event showcasing Vietnam's culture, traditional cuisine, economic strengths, and specialties is expected to attract 200,000 visitors. Launched in 2015, the festival aims to promote communication and understanding between the people of Japan and Vietnam.

Vietnam Kickboxing Federation has sponsor

The Vietnam Kickboxing Federation signed a comprehensive sponsorship agreement with Vietnam Interior, a home furnishings company, on September 7, hoping to make a breakthrough in the sport's 15-year development in the country. The partnership aims to promote kickboxing nationwide through financial support, event organization, and marketing efforts. Introduced in 2009, kickboxing has been practiced in 40 provinces, contributing to the Vietnamese sports delegation's performance at the SEA Games, with five gold medals at the SEA Games 31 and four gold medals at the SEA Games 32.

Vietnamese fighters to compete in major MMA event

Three Vietnamese fighters will compete at Angel's Fighting Championship 33 (AFC 33) on September 14 in Ba Ria - Vung Tau. The event, which is part of Asia's premier Mix Martial Arts (MMA) series, will feature eight bouts gathering top international talent from Japan, Brazil, and other countries. AFC 33 aims to develop the skills of local fighters through high-level international competition.
