The book shows the Party Chief’s comprehensive direction in graft fight based on practice and foresight of issues of the Party building, anti-corruption, and the country’s development.
Vietnam today [February 2] introduced a 600 page-book on corruption fight by General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Nguyen Phu Trong has recently been released.

Titled “Persistently determined to prevent and fight against corruption and negative phenomena, contributing to building an increasingly transparent and strong Party and State”, the book summarizes the anti-corruption direction of the General Secretary, who is also head of the Central Steering Committee on Anti-corruption.
The book has a profound meaning in the context that the fight against corruption and negativity in Vietnam is currently being fiercely directed by the Party, becoming an uncompromising war that has achieved positive results.
With nearly 100 illustrations, the book is presented in a modern journalistic style, divided into three parts.
The first part titled “Some issues are drawn from the reality of the fight against corruption in Vietnam” includes an overview article by the General Secretary that re-evaluates this work since the establishment of the Committee in 2013 up to now; four concluding remarks by the General Secretary at 2014, 2018, 2020 and 2022 national anti-corruption conferences; and conclusions at the 36 meetings of the Committee.
The second part titled “Consistency in the motto: Preventing corruption early and thoroughly” collects 22 typical articles of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong on Party construction work. It focuses on the training of cadres, and party members, considering it a special task. In this part, 14 articles are on the Party building from the early years of Doi Moi (renovation) up to now; and 8 others, including those written in the 1970s, are on training cadres and party members.
The third part gathers 62 opinions from all classes of people, 10 opinions from National Assembly deputies, and 24 opinions from politicians and scholars worldwide, showing the recognition, support, and trust of people from all walks of life with the persistent fight against “internal enemy” under the leadership of the Party and the General Secretary.
The content of the book shows “the General Secretary’s drastic, comprehensive and persuasive direction, based on practice”, showing a foresight of issues of Party building, anti-corruption, and the country’s development, according to local media.
