The Vietnamese government continues to enjoy the highest approval rating (calculated by subtracting 'handling badly' from 'handling well' responses) of any nation in the study, at +95, followed by Taiwan and Malaysia on +87, according to surveys conducted by London-based research data and analytics group YouGov, New York-based provider of market and consumer data Statista, and Our World in Data.

Vietnam normally tops countries for measures that the country took in response to the pandemic.

At the time of writing, the country has recorded 332 cases and zero deaths. Meanwhile, the number of convalescents reached 320, accounting for 96.4% of the total infections.

As of June 11, Vietnam has undergone 56 days without local transmission.

Containing the virus has enabled the country to reopen the economy. So far, it has yet to open borders to foreign visitors. But plans to welcome foreign tourists being prepared, according to local authorities.
