The fair features over 80 booths displaying more than 1,000 local handicrafts and safe food products, including OCOP (One Commune One Product) items and tourism promotion activities. It is organized by the Hanoi Department of Agriculture and Rural Development in cooperation with the Dan Phuong District People's Committee.

Exhibitors at the fair come from all over Hanoi, as well as 21 provinces and cities nationwide.

At the opening ceremony on November 6, Nguyen Dinh Hoa, Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, highlighted the fair's role in facilitating trade for producers and businesses. He stressed the importance of marketing products through e-commerce platforms, distribution systems, shopping malls and supermarkets.

Hoa said that businesses can exchange experiences in production organization, branding, and digital transformation, aiming at increasing product value and contributing to the sustainable development of agricultural value chains.

Hoa stressed that the fair is expected to contribute to the economic development of rural areas and the preservation and promotion of traditional crafts, in line with the national rural development program. It also promotes the campaign to encourage Vietnamese consumers to prioritize made-in-Vietnam products.

Delegates cut the ribbon to open the fair in Dan Phuong District.

This event also serves as a celebration of important national and city anniversaries in 2024, as well as the 70th anniversary of the Hanoi Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, the deputy director said.

Hanoi currently boasts 1,350 craft villages, including 334 recognized traditional craft villages. The city is home to 1,090 active agricultural cooperatives, 1,695 farms, and 149 production and consumption link chains, according to the Hanoi Department of Agriculture and Rural Development.

It features over 164 hi-tech application models and more than 13,000 agricultural, forestry, and aquatic products with QR code traceability, along with 2,756 OCOP products.

Hanoi, in collaboration with 43 provinces and cities nationwide, has actively supported the development of 977 safe food supply chains for the capital.
