Yonhap to make condition for reporters to learn Vietnamese

On February 9 afternoon, at the head quarter of Government, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc hosted a reception for President and Chief Executive Officer of Yonhap Park No-hwang who was on a working visit to Vietnam.

PM Phuc said that the strategic partnership have flourished in all fields. The two countries have equivalent number of guest workers. Korean culture has developed vigorously in Vietnam. Especially, the RoK was the second largest investor in Vietnam.

Under the positive trend, Mr. Phuc lauded the press role especially Yohap in promoting the strategic partnership between the two countries. In 2017,
Vietnam and the RoK will mark the 25th anniversary of diplomatic ties. The host leader also praised the cooperation between Vietnam News Agency and Yohap.

Vietnam always welcomes and creates favorable conditions for foreign enterprises, including the RoK, to expand business in the future, affirmed PM Phuc.  

In reply, President Yonhap Park No-hwang revealed that via the working visit to Viet Nam, he hoped to contribute to nurturing the bilateral ties. The RoK said the President always spare no effort to spur the comprehensive ties with
Vietnam in all fields.

The overseas Vietnamese community in the RoK has formulated Korean-Vietnamese multi-cultural families. The RoK Government pledges to spare no effort to step up the comprehensive collaboration with
Vietnam across the board.

The President also announced that Yonhap has trained Vietnamese for its reporters with a view to disseminating news about
Vietnam in an accurate manne.

Park No-hwang asserted that he will inform the Korean business to undertake policies of the Vietnamese Government that the Prime Minister has just mentioned.
