Activities in celebration of Vietnam's August Revolution and National Day
Film lovers will be able to enjoy selected films about history, revolutionary soldiers, exemplary people and generations of youth in wartime and remote areas.
Many cities across the country have held programs full of activities to celebrate the 78th anniversary of the August Revolution and the National Day of Vietnam [September 2, 1945-2023].
The activities during a four-day holiday aim to educate the young generation in patriotic traditions, the will for independence, the desire for peace, and the spirit of great national unity.
Colorful exhibition
Among the activities, an exhibition entitled "Our Country" was opened in Hanoi.
The exhibition features more than 80 outstanding landscape paintings selected from the modern art collections of the Fine Arts Museum, created by famous artists from different generations. They include painters who graduated from the Indochina Art School and those who were trained in the Resistance Art Courses, as well as younger generations of artists.

The beauty of Vietnam's various regions is vividly depicted through the artists' perspectives and diverse styles. Popular destinations in the country, such as Ban Gioc Waterfall, Nha Trang and Phu Quoc are displayed in the exhibition, reflecting the artists' love for their homeland.
The country is a source of inspiration for many art forms, said Nguyen Anh Minh, Director of the Vietnam Fine Arts Museum, adding that it is an inexhaustible source of emotions that every artist wants to convey with affection and talent.
"This is the first time the museum has combined a conventional method of displaying artworks with digital technology and cinematography. With this new experience, the exhibition is expected to nurture the love for art and the country," he said.
The exhibition will be open until September 10 on the second floor of Building B of the Vietnam Fine Arts Museum (No. 66 Nguyen Thai Hoc, Ba Dinh, Hanoi).
