The work is expected to transform Thanh Oai into a bustling commercial hub in southern Hanoi.
A groundbreaking ceremony was held on September 20 for the extension of Provincial Highway 429A and the Kim Bai Industrial Cluster, an activity to mark the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital.

The upgraded 429A road will improve traffic flow from National Highway 21B to the left bank of Day River and the Ho Chi Minh National Highway, supporting economic growth in Thanh Oai and neighboring Ung Hoa District.
The Kim Bai Industrial Cluster, which covers 48.8 hectares and has an investment of VND1 trillion (US$41 million), aims to attract high-tech and clean production enterprises and relocate enterprises from artisan villages to reduce environmental pollution.
Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Nguyen Manh Quyen urged the city departments and Thanh Oai District to facilitate the construction of the industrial cluster.
He requested the investor, Telin Group, to focus all resources on the timely construction of technical infrastructure as approved.

Thanh Oai District Chairman Bui Van Sang said the Kim Bai Industrial Cluster will attract about 100 businesses and create 3,000 to 4,000 jobs once operational.
He added that in addition to Kim Bai, the district will have two other industrial zones covering 750 hectares, all equipped with logistics facilities. "Thanh Oai aims to become a vibrant commercial hub in southern Hanoi," he stressed.
To ensure the construction deadline, Sang urged investors to focus on quality and adhere to legal regulations.
Nguyen Manh Quyen also highlighted that Kim Bai is the fourth of five planned industrial clusters, with the Thanh Van - Tan Uoc Industrial Cluster already approved for development.
This year, Hanoi aims to inaugurate 15-20 industrial clusters and establish and expand 10-15 more, according to the investment plan of the Hanoi People's Committee.
By 2030, the city plans to have 159 industrial clusters covering 3,204 hectares, expand five existing clusters from 2017-2020 by 45 hectares, and build 21 new clusters totaling 536 hectares.
