Art performance celebrates 13th National Party Congress

A National Congress-greeting art performance is downsized due to Covid-19 outbreak. It serves roughly 2,000 audience instead of 17,000 as planned.

The show titled “Shining Aspiration” that takes place at My Dinh Stadium serves roughly 2,000 audience instead of 17,000 in the initial plan is broadcast live on the Vietnam Television (VTV) and the Voice of Vietnam (VOV) Monday evening [February 1].

Head of the Central Commission for Communication and Education Vo Van Thuong said the performance must be held but needs to be changed to meet the requirements of the pandemic fight.

The audience includes delegates who are members of the Politburo, the Secretariat, the Central Committee’s members, and representatives of state agencies and foreign missions and organizations, and students, policemen, and army soldiers.

Nearly 1,600 artists take part in the performance. 

The Hanoi’s Department of Health assumes responsibility for disinfection and medical emergency for the evening show.

Nearly 1,600 artists from Vietnam National Music Song and Dance Theatre, Vietnam National Academy of Music, Vietnam Academy of Dance, Military University of Culture and Arts, among others perform in the show.

The performance includes three parts including the first praising the Party, late President Ho Chi Minh City, and the country; the second part focusing on culture of different regions across Vietnam, aiming to boost the national unity; the third part featuring Vietnam’s modernization and global integration.

Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ta Quang Dong said the show has been prepared since November 2020.
