Decorative lighting works to celebrate the 1010th anniversary of Thang Long

On the evening of October 8, the People's Committee of Thanh Xuan District and the People's Committee of Ha Dong District jointly held the inauguration of the urban lighting project on Nguyen Trai and Tran Phu streets.

The project is to celebrate the 1010th anniversary of Thang Long - Hanoi and the 17th Hanoi Party Congress. Mr.Ngo Van Quy, Vice Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee and Mr. Pham Thanh Hoc, Standing Deputy Head of Hanoi Commission for Propaganda and Education joined the event.

Decorative lighting works on Nguyen Trai and Tran Phu roads have been implemented since June 2020, featuring 136 decorative light clusters on Nguyen Trai road and 83 light clusters on Tran Phu road.  The works are aimed at  creating  a beautiful urban landscape as well as to bring a brand-new profile for the southwestern traffic route of the capital.

 The delegates attended the inauguration ceremony of the decorative lighting project on Nguyen Trai and Tran Phu roads. 

During the implementation process, the People's Committees of Thanh Xuan and Ha Dong districts have requested related units to actively work with Hanoi Department of Construction to ensure   the project’s progress and quality.

Speaking at the ceremony, Ms. Le Mai Trang, Vice Chairwoman of Thanh Xuan District People's Committee, said that the completion of the urban lighting system on Nguyen Trai - Tran Phu roads is a great effort of the local authorities, contributing to Hanoi’s task on urban landscape adorning, at the same time, meeting people’s desire to have a better, brighter and more beautiful traffic route within the city.

“In addition to this road lighting decoration project, under the direction of the City Party Committee and the People's Committee of Hanoi, the People's Committees of Thanh Xuan and Ha Dong districts has also organized other interesting and practical activities to  welcome the 17th Hanoi Party Committee’s Congress and the 1010th anniversary of Thang Long- Hanoi,” she said.
