Deputy Prime Minister to visit Cuba, Venezuela for enhanced relations

The official visits to the two Latin nations will further develop their relations with Vietnam.

Vietnam’s Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang will lead a high-ranking delegation and pay official visits to Cuba and Venezuela on April 14-19, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The Deputy Prime Minister’s visits to Cuba and Venezuela aim at strengthening and deepening the comprehensive relationships and partnerships between Vietnam and the two Latin nations, the ministry’s deputy spokesperson Doan Khac Viet told the regular press conference on April 11.

Vietnam looks forward to enhancing its relations with the parties, governments, and people of Cuba and Venezuela, thus raising their future performances in the future, Viet said.

According to the deputy spokesperson, Vietnam and Cuba’s traditional friendly relations have been consolidated, promoted, and enhanced in all fields.

Both nations have continuously supported each other in international organizations and multilateral forums, especially at the United Nations.

Whilst, Quang’s visit to Venezuela is one of the key activities to commemorate the 35th anniversary of the foundation of Vietnam-Venezuela diplomatic relations in 2024.

The traditional Vietnam-Venezuela friendship and comprehensive partnership is continuously promoted and strengthened across all pillars of the party, the state, and people-to-people diplomacy, as well as that of the parliament and province-to-province relations.

Both countries maintain exchanges and talks in international organizations and multilateral forums.
