The VITM Hanoi 2025 will feature cultural and culinary performances, with the participation of various domestic and international art troupes.

THE HANOI TIMES — The Vietnam International Travel Fair (VITM) 2025, which takes place on April 10-13 at the Hanoi International Exhibition Center, will offer an exciting array of unique cultural activities.

With 450 booths and over 600 companies, the fair is a hub for tourism promotion and the display of traditional cultural values from both domestic and international sources.

One of the features of VITM Hanoi 2025 will be its cultural and culinary performances, with the participation of various domestic and international art troupes. Visitors will be able to enjoy spectacular performances by artists from Danang (Vietnam), Malaysia, Taiwan (China), and other places. Among the highlights, Phu Yen of Vietnam will showcase its unique cultural heritage through a special presentation on ocean tuna, a renowned specialty of the region.

"Phu Yen Ocean Tuna - The Essence of the Sea" is one of the key programs at the fair, where visitors will see skilled chefs from Phu Yen, a central coastal province. They will perform the intricate process of filleting a 50kg tuna and preparing dishes like tuna sushi, tuna salad, and pan-fried tuna with rosemary.

"Phu Yen's tuna is incredibly delicious because of the unique methods we use to catch and preserve it. The process of cutting and filleting the tuna involves three stages, with each performed by a different chef using specific types of knives," said Chef Nguyen Xuan Bon of Canary Phu Yen Restaurant.

International booths from Taiwan (China) and Malaysia will also feature cultural performances. The Taiwan Tourism Bureau will showcase the Hoyi Dance Crew, known for mixing T-POP street dance with traditional fighting formations, for a lively display of the island's culture.

Meanwhile, Tourism Malaysia will be joined by key tourism partners such as Sarawak Tourism Board and Tourism Melaka, as well as strategic airline tie ups, to unveil its highly anticipated Visit Malaysia 2026 (VM2026) campaign, themed 'Surreal Experiences.'

At the same time, tourism promotion conferences will bring together businesses and tourists for cooperation opportunities.
