First job-matching app for Vietnam's workers in Japan

The platform connects Vietnamese workers with Japanese employers, offering transparent job information, direct contact, and updates on labor policies.

THE HANOI TIMES — The DJ App, Vietnam’s first online platform for contract-based jobs in Japan, has been launched to promote transparent information sharing between job seekers and recruiting companies, minimizing fraud and excessive costs.

In the support of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), the app provides regular updates on labor policies, rights, and working conditions in Japan, helping workers make informed decisions before signing contracts.

In addition, through the mobile app and website, workers can search for jobs by industry, location, and salary, and contact employers directly without intermediaries.

By reducing reliance on unofficial brokers, the system helps protect workers’ rights. For employers, it offers an efficient, transparent channel to reach a broad network of job seekers across Vietnam.

At the launch ceremony, Ishikawa Isamu, Counselor of the Embassy of Japan in Vietnam, expressed hope that the platform would bring positive change to the journey of young Vietnamese working in Japan.

Vu Truong Giang, Deputy Director of the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs (MOLISA)' Department of Overseas Labor Management (DOLAB), called on local employment service centers to actively adopt and guide workers in using the application effectively.

JICA reaffirmed its commitment to supporting Vietnam in protecting human rights, promoting safe labor migration, and contributing to the sustainable development of both countries.

According to the MOLISA, the number of Vietnam's workers sent to Japan in the first five months of this year accounted for 48.5% of total 61,000 Vietnamese working abroad.
