Fourth South Korean media outlet opens office in Vietnam

Financial News is now the 30th member of the foreign press corps in Vietnam.

THE HANOI TIMES — Le Thi Thu Hang, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, on July 2 presented Financial News with a license to open a bureau in Vietnam, making it the 4th South Korean media outlet to do so.

Hang announced that Financial News is now the 30th member of the foreign press corps in Vietnam. This development reflects the robust and comprehensive growth of relations between Vietnam and South Korea in key areas such as politics, diplomacy, trade, investment, and people-to-people exchanges.

Hang also emphasized Financial News' role in fostering mutual understanding between the two nations and contributing positively to the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.

The diplomat reaffirmed the ministry’s commitment to supporting foreign correspondents, especially those from South Korea, ensuring they are well-equipped to perform their duties in Vietnam.

Chief representative Kim Kwan Woong affirmed that Financial News will make every effort to strengthen the relationship between Vietnam and South Korea.
