The newly-launched train offers visitors a chance to explore the port city of Haiphong in comfort and convenience.

Hoang Gia Khanh, General Director of the Vietnam Railways Corporation, said that the train is more than just a means of transportation; it's a unique tourism product that represents the vibrant culture of Haiphong, which is famous for its bright red flamboyant flowers in the summer.

"The Red Flamboyant Train will become an indispensable part of every traveler's journey to explore the beauty of the charming port city of Haiphong," he said.

Vietnam Railways continues working with localities to offer cultural and historical train journeys to promote regional tourism and showcase Vietnam's rich heritage.

About 120 kilometers east of Hanoi, Haiphong is a dynamic port city in northern Vietnam, affectionately known as the "Red Flamboyant City" for its iconic royal poinciana blossoms.

The city offers a diverse travel experience, from tantalizing street food to scenic coastal retreats. A journey by train begins at the Haiphong Railway Station, a picturesque landmark with striking French colonial architecture, regarded as one of the most beautiful railway stations built in Vietnam during the French colonial era.

The Haiphong City Theater, built in 1904 and completed in 1912, is located on the site of an old village market. Modeled after the Paris Opera House, this architectural gem was fashioned from materials imported from France and showcases a combination of Vietnamese craftsmanship and European design.

Often called the “city of bridges,” Haiphong is home to several architectural marvels, most notably the Binh Bridge, which gracefully spans the Cam River. Its curved design is both practical and aesthetically striking, connecting the city with Quang Ninh Province.

For nature lovers, Trai Son Lake in Thuy Nguyen District is a favorite destination. Known to young travelers as Tuyet Tinh Coc, its surreal blue waters surrounded by limestone cliffs create a magical, hidden gem atmosphere.

Just a short drive from the city center, Do Son Beach offers a rare coastal escape in Northern Vietnam. Visitors can explore captivating attractions like Hang Pagoda, Tuong Long Pagoda, Ba De Temple, and the elegant King Bao Dai Villa.
