Hanoi leaders commemorate 108th anniversary of October Revolution at Lenin memorial
The annual ceremony honors the historic revolution that changed the course of world history and shows the deep respect of the Vietnamese people for Lenin’s ideals and the long-standing friendship between Vietnam and Russia.
HANOI TIMES — A delegation of Hanoi authorities paid tribute and offered incense to Vladimir Ilyich Lenin at his statue in Hanoi on November 7, to commemorate the 108th anniversary of the Russian October Revolution (November 7, 1917–2025).
The delegation was led by Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Nguyen Duy Ngoc.

This annual tribute by Hanoi leaders honors Lenin for his revolutionary ideals that championed the global working class.
During the ceremony, Hanoi leaders recalled Lenin’s great contributions to the world revolutionary cause and expressed deep admiration for his enduring influence on global progress.
On the same day, representatives of youth organizations, public agencies and labor unions across the capital also laid flowers at the Lenin statue to honor his legacy.

Vladimir Ilyich Lenin, a distinguished political leader and revolutionary theorist, dedicated his life to the liberation of the working class and humanity. He led the Bolshevik Revolution in 1917 and served as the founding architect and first leader of the former Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR).
The legacy of Lenin and the Russian October Revolution stands as a turning point in modern world history, symbolizing the global pursuit of peace, justice and social progress.

Under Lenin’s leadership, the Russian working class and the laboring people overthrew the Tsarist regime and established the world’s first socialist state, a government of the people, by the people and for the people.
The October Revolution became not only a victory for the Russian people but also a powerful symbol of hope, unity and the human quest for change.
In Vietnam, the triumph of the October Revolution is viewed as a historic source of inspiration for the country’s struggle for national independence and its socialist orientation.
Marxism - Leninism, together with Ho Chi Minh’s Thought, continues to serve as the ideological foundation and guiding compass for Vietnam’s development, leading the nation toward prosperity, modernization and social progress.
