Hanoi to implement the 2nd phase of “VN-India ARC-ICT Center” project

Hanoi Department of Information and Communications has recently organized a conference, deploying the second phase of the project “Viet Nam-India Advance Resource Center in Information and Communications Technology (ARC-ICT)".

 


 
The Vietnam - India ARC-ICT Center, which was entirely funded by the Indian Government for the 2012-2016 period, aims at providing short-term and long-term training courses on information technology (IT) and communication; giving equipments, study documents between Vietnam and India; sending IT experts to Vietnam so as to conduct training courses; granting certificates for practitioners graduating from the Vietnam-India ARC-ICT Center. Over the past time, the Center has cooperated with relevant units to open 128 training courses with 7,427 students.

At present, Hanoi Department of Information and Communications sets up a plan on implementing the second phase of the project in accordance with the regulation on receiving and deploying new investment in the Vietnam-India ARC-ICT Center. 

​In particular, the project will organize training courses on ICT to meet modern tendencies of the market; train advanced resource in association with IT development in the world, contributing to turning information technology into a motivation in developing integration economy as well as meeting the requirement of advanced human resource to promote the cause of industrialization - modernization in the capital city.

At the conference, the Department of Information and Communications also recommended Embassy of India to carry out the second phase of the project themed “Giving technical assistance to the Vietnam-India ARC-ICT Center at the second phase” so as to change the Center into an authorized unit of the India’s Center for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC) as well as improving, updating software for expired labs and enhance technological transfer for the Center.
