From 6:00 to 7:30 AM, participants will wear red shirts with yellow stars, join the flag-raising at Ba Dinh Square, sing the National Anthem, and take symbolic steps forward under the message “One billion steps into a new era.”

People can register online from July 25 to August 16, 2025, at cungvietnamtienbuoc.nhandan.vn.

The event aims to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19, 1945) and National Day (September 2).

It also supports the movements “The Entire People Exercise Following Uncle Ho’s Example” and “Be Healthy to Build and Defend the Fatherland.”

Every step recorded on the event’s digital platform will count as a “green step,” contributing to carbon emission reduction, raising environmental awareness, and advancing the national net-zero target.

Local police forces will coordinate the activities and promote legal education on public security, traffic safety, fire prevention, crime prevention, drowning prevention, and the dangers of drugs and e-cigarettes.

They will also encourage active participation in the All People Protect National Security movement.
