Nearly 95% of parking payments in Hanoi now cashless

The Hanoi Department of Construction also reported that cashless payments are widely accepted at 405 parking sites across the city.

Now, more than 93% of motorbike riders pay their parking fees via cashless payment, while the figure for car drivers reaches nearly 100%.

The department said that cashless payments save people time and provide more convenience, as they no longer need to carry small change.

However, the department pointed out several major issues, including the lack of technological standards among parking spaces, unstable internet connectivity, and a lack of legal compliance among parking space managers.
