One million square meters of social house built in 2015

With the active implementation of the social house programme, the Ministry of Construction said that the country is expected to build 1 million square meters (m2) of the social house in 2015.

At present, the country has had 62 projects registered to convert from commercial house into social house construction with the total number of about 41,769 apartments.
In addition, 88 projects have registered to adjust their structures of apartments, increasing from the original number of 36,113 apartments to 49,199 units.

Some of large-scale projects of social house development have been effectively implemented, such as the social house project in Binh Duong province was buil by Becamex IDC Corporation with 64,000 apartments, of which 5,000 apartments were completed.
Viglacera Corporation has also successfully implemented projects of social house in Dang Xa new urban area, Gia Lam district, Hanoi, with the scale of 3,500 apartments, the building floor area of ​​about 175.000m2, providing accommodations for about 14,000 people.
