Over 160,000 sixth graders in Hanoi enrolled online

The enrollment period, from July 7 to July 9, demonstrates the city's ongoing efforts to streamline the admissions process and accommodate its growing student population.

THE HANOI TIMES — Hanoi has officially opened its online enrollment portal for 6th grade admissions for the 2025–2026 academic year to accept approximately 161,000 students.

Parents can register through the city’s enrollment portal at http://tsdaucap.hanoi.gov.vn to submit applications, review admission guidelines, and check results.

Support teams have been set up at schools across the city to assist with online registration or direct submissions from July 12 to 18.

Eligible students must be 11 years old (born in 2014), though exceptions are made for students with special circumstances, such as those belonging to ethnic minorities, students with disabilities, or students returning from abroad.

Required documents include a primary school transcript, a copy of the birth certificate, and any relevant priority certification documents.

Despite the recent reorganization of Hanoi's administrative divisions, the city's Department of Education and Training affirmed that the enrollment zones and quotas remain unchanged from the plans issued in March 2025.

In addition to sixth-grade admissions, Hanoi plans to enroll 155,000 first-graders and 95,000 preschoolers. The city has prioritized infrastructure and technology upgrades to ensure a smooth process, reflecting its commitment to modernizing education management.

With over 25 staff members deployed per school to assist parents, Hanoi aims to eliminate past issues such as long lines and place-holding practices, ensuring a transparent and efficient enrollment season.
