Hanoi launches digital map to help students find exam sites
A digital map will help students and parents get through the 2025 graduation exam, and affirmed the city's determination in digital transformation.
THE HANOI TIMES — The Hanoi Department of Education and Training has created a digital map to help high school students find their testing locations for the upcoming national graduation exam.

Designed for mobile use, the map introduced on June 18 allows students and parents to easily find locations and directions to the exams. With built-in GPS, routing, and satellite-based navigation, the map helps students avoid missing exams due to arriving late or at the wrong location.
According to the Hanoi Department of Education and Training, when users tap on any exam site, they can immediately access details such as the venue name, coordinates, route options, and estimated travel time.
The digital map is available at ioc.hanoi.gov.vn.
The map will ensure a smoother exam process for the more than 124,000 students in Hanoi who are preparing for the national high school graduation exam, the largest group of test-takers in the country. Across the country, more than 1.1 million candidates will sit for the exam scheduled for June 26-27.
Hanoi has 233 schools ready to host the exam. Many of these schools have similar or identical names but are located in different places, which could cause confusion among parents and students.

The digital mapping system, successfully tested during the recent public high school entrance exam, will be widely rolled out for the graduation exam. This initiative is part of Hanoi's comprehensive digital transformation strategy in the education sector.
The sector has integrated technology into various areas, such as online administration, teaching, assessments, digital libraries, virtual labs, and remote learning platforms.
Since 2022, the city has been developing a Smart Education Operations Center (IOC) to improve governance and coordination across the school system. The IOC includes real-time reporting dashboards, remote meeting tools, live camera monitoring of school premises, and online updates through the department’s information portal. It also helps monitor educational content on digital platforms.
