The prime minister expressed his hope that this victory would serve as motivation for Duc Phuc and Vietnamese artists to continue developing their talents, creating, and contributing to national music while promoting Vietnamese culture globally.

He extended his wishes for Duc Phuc and fellow artists to maintain good health and abundant energy, dedicating themselves to audiences at home and abroad.

The Intervision 2025 International Music Contest was an international song contest featuring representatives from countries primarily from BRICS, CIS, Latin American and Middle Eastern states, each with a single entrant.

The song “Phu Dong Thien Vuong”

Composed by Ho Hoai Anh, the song draws inspiration from the Vietnamese legend of Saint Giong, the miraculous child hero who grew into a giant warrior to defend the nation. Through imagery of bamboo, iron horses, and soaring flight, it celebrates resilience, courage, and collective spirit, blending national folklore with a modern artistic style.

The piece combines traditional melodies and rhythms with rap passages in several languages to deliver a universal message. The result is a powerful anthem of national pride and youthful energy that bridges tradition and innovation.

Performance at Intervision 2025

At the Intervision 2025 International Music Contest in Moscow, singer Duc Phuc represented Vietnam with this dynamic work. His stage presentation featured vivid elements of Vietnamese heritage—bamboo props, martial dance movements, and dramatic lighting—framed within a contemporary show design.

Backed by dancers and a live orchestra, he brought the story of Saint Giong to life, culminating in a striking final tableau evoking the hero’s ascension.

Duc Phuc’s performance stood out among more than 20 international entries, earning the highest jury and audience scores. His victory not only marked a milestone for Vietnam on the global music stage but also showcased the creative appeal of Vietnamese culture presented in modern forms.
