Resolution 15 outcomes: Hanoi's suburbs “dress up in new clothes”

The countryside on the outskirts of Hanoi has become more modern 15 years after the capital's boundary expansion, which falls on August 1, 2023.

The results are revealed through the number of villages meeting the new-style rural development criteria and improving livelihoods.

By the first quarter of 2023, all 382 communes in the city met the rural development standards, making it the largest number of commune-level administrative units meeting the national criteria.

Meanwhile, farmers' livelihoods have been steadily improving. The per capita income of rural residents has exceeded VND54 million (US$2,300) per year.

At the same time, many schools, roads, and public welfare facilities have been built in the suburbs of Hanoi.
