Top economic hub of Pakistan welcomes Vietnamese investors
Sindh Province is one of Pakistan’s top economic hubs, contributing around 35% of the country’s GDP and playing a central role in key development sectors.
THE HANOI TIMES — Kamran Khan Tesorri, Governor of Sindh Province, one of Pakistan’s leading economic hubs, pledged full support for Vietnamese investors during a meeting with Vietnamese Ambassador Pham Anh Tuan on July 1.

The meeting was part of Ambassador Tuan’s working visit to strengthen economic, trade, and investment ties between Vietnam and Pakistan. During the discussion, Governor Kamran Khan Tesorri highlighted Sindh’s pivotal role in Pakistan’s economy, contributing approximately 35% of the country’s gross domestic product (GDP).
He expressed strong interest in expanding cooperation with Vietnam and welcomed Vietnamese businesses to explore opportunities in key sectors such as ports, logistics, industrial development, finance, and food processing.
Governor Tesorri emphasized that Sindh prioritizes practical collaboration over symbolic agreements and affirmed his readiness to facilitate connections between investors from both sides.

Tuan praised Sindh’s development vision, and both sides agreed to advance cooperation in agriculture, fisheries, industry, textiles, and investment.
As part of the visit, he partnered with the Pakistan Seafood Association and Pakistan Tea Association to co-organize two seminars. The fisheries seminar focused on Halal certification, joint ventures, and sustainable development. The second seminar, held in the hybrid format, connected 14 major tea-producing provinces of Vietnam, promoting Halal-standard exports to Pakistan.
Tuan also met with the Karachi Chamber of Commerce and the Vietnamese community, reaffirming the embassy’s support and calling for deeper institutional trade links.
