Vietnam's foreign trade reaches US$619.2 billion in Jan-Nov

The General Department of Vietnam Customs reported that the country's total import-export turnover in the first 11 months of 2023 was estimated at $619.2 billion. The export value reached $322.5 billion, down 5.9% year-on-year while it recorded a trade surplus of $25.82 billion between January and November.

Vietnam and Finland promote investment 

Vietnam and Finland will turn challenges into opportunities and promote in-depth cooperation, stressed Deputy Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Vo Van Hoan at the celebration of the 50th anniversary of Vietnam-Finland diplomatic relations on December 6. Ho Chi Minh City is one of the leading localities in strengthening ties with Finland. Both sides hope to expand trade and cooperation through the Vietnam-Finland Innovation Partnership Program (IPP).

Vinh Phuc to build two railway lines to Hanoi

The northern province of Vinh Phuc, in its development plan by 2050, plans to build two railways to connect with Hanoi, including Noi Bai International Airport. The railways are also expected to facilitate commuting to Vinh Phuc's Tam Dao tourism site.

Other goals of the plan include the development of the digital economy and an urbanization rate of 65% for the province.

Ben Tre eyes 50,000 ha of land reclamation

The southern province of Ben Tre will reclaim 50,000 hectares of land from the western sea, according to the provincial development plan with a vision to 2050. The reclaimed area will serve the marine economy, renewable energy, high-tech aquaculture, maritime transportation, and tourism and golf services.
