Prime Minister pushes bilateral cooperation at World Economic Forum in Tianjin
On the sidelines of the 16th Annual Meeting of the New Champions of the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Tianjin, China, on the morning of June 25 (local time), Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh held bilateral meetings with Kyrgyz Prime Minister Adylbek Kasimalyev, Ecuadorian President Daniel Noboa, and Senegalese Prime Minister Ousmane Sonko to strengthen Vietnam’s traditional partnerships through practical cooperation. Leaders of the three countries praised Vietnam’s growing role and initiatives, and agreed to maintain high-level exchanges and promote substantive cooperation in areas of mutual interest, aiming toward sustainable and mutually beneficial development.
Nearly 50 Vietnamese citizens safely enter Egypt
Amid rising tensions in the Middle East, the Vietnamese embassies in Israel and Egypt helped nearly 50 Vietnamese citizens enter Egypt in an orderly manner. Some of these individuals have already returned to Vietnam. The state budget covered all of their travel expenses. The Vietnamese embassy continues to advise its citizens to remain in contact and stands ready to provide emergency assistance if needed.
Vietnam rises in global AI through FPT supercomputers
Vietnam has entered the world’s top 15 AI nations after two FPT AI factories, one in Vietnam and one in Japan, ranked 38th and 36th, respectively, on the June 2025 TOP500 supercomputer list. This achievement confirms Vietnam’s growing technological capabilities, with FPT spearheading Japan’s commercial AI cloud services and planning to establish three additional global AI factories within the next five years.
Vietnam boosts exports through stronger ties with Japan
Ho Chi Minh City recently hosted a seminar to promote Vietnamese exports to Japan, as officials highlighted significant untapped potential in the bilateral trade relationship. In 2024, two-way trade between the two countries reached US$46.23 billion, with Vietnam’s exports accounting for US$24.61 billion. Despite being a key partner under four shared free trade agreements (FTAs), Vietnam currently makes up only 3.3% of Japan’s total trade volume, leaving ample room for growth, officials noted.
Vietnamese culture connects communities in France
“Vietnam Week in Saint Herblain” is currently underway in France until June 26, showcasing Vietnamese culture through films, crafts, music, and art. This event introduces Vietnam’s heritage to the French public and the Vietnamese diaspora, promoting cultural understanding and fostering connections between the two countries.

Vietnam leads with 9 gold medals at Asian muay tournament
The country won nine gold medals in the U23 category at the ongoing 2025 Asian Muay Championship in Thai Nguyen, temporarily placing it at the top of the medal count. The tournament features athletes from 25 countries and runs until June 27. There are high hopes for more medals for the host nation.
