Hanoi approves $300 million waste-to-energy plant project
Hanoi on June 27 approved a waste-to-energy plant project treating 2,400 tons per day to reduce landfill and generate power. Costing an investment of US$300 million, the 13-hectare facility will be built under a public-private partnership.

Cultural activities to celebrate bigger Lam Dong
In celebration of the newly formed the central highland province of Lam Dong, resulting from the merger of Dak Nong and Binh Thuan provinces, Delight Park at Than Tho Lake in Dalat will host shows featuring water, lights, lasers, mapping, and holograms, as well as fireworks. Lam Dong, home to the resort city of Dalat, known for its cool climate and scenic landscapes, is investing in lighting technology to strengthen its nighttime economy.

Kim Long Motor inks major bus export deal with Thailand
Kim Long Motor Hue has signed a landmark deal with Thailand’s Cho Thavee Group to export 3,000 electric buses with Yuchai engines annually. This marks Vietnam’s first large-scale bus export to Southeast Asia and highlights the country's manufacturing capabilities. In April, Kim Long Motor exported 200 electric buses to South Korea, establishing itself as one of Vietnam’s leading commercial vehicle brands.
Honda Vietnam to expand electric delivery fleet for Vietnam Post
Honda Vietnam on June 26 handed over 200 Benly electric scooters to Vietnam Post for parcel delivery. The move will help Honda to achieve its goal of reducing CO₂ emissions by 46% by 2030 and reaching net zero by 2050. It promotes green urban transport and advances Vietnam’s carbon-neutral goals by encouraging sustainable, low-emission logistics.
Ho Chi Minh City shares all public services with National Portal
Ho Chi Minh City announced that it will link all its online public services to the National Public Service Portal as a single 'one-stop shop' on June 27. The Digital Transformation Center is upgrading systems to ensure smooth management across all levels of the local government, helping to streamline procedures, boost transparency, and improve digital services.
