Vietnam boosts tech exchanges

Vietnam had 22 technology exchanges as of June 2025, including 19 local, two regional, and one national. To improve its below-average patent commercialization rate, the Ministry of Science and Technology is proposing to integrate technology platforms with investment and intellectual property exchanges, aiming to build a more cohesive and efficient innovation ecosystem.

Vietnam to send 1,000 delegates to SEA Games 33

Vietnam will send a 1,000-member team to the 33rd SEA Games in Thailand this December, aiming for 75–85 gold medals. With fewer favorable events, the country is focusing investment on core sports like athletics, swimming, gymnastics, and shooting after a strong showing of 136 golds at the previous Games.

Manchester United’s football legends to attend festival in Vietnam

Legendary Manchester United players, including Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes, Teddy Sheringham, and Wes Brown, as well as former Liverpool striker Michael Owen, will visit Danang, Vietnam, for the Vietnam-UK Football Festival 2025 from June 26 to 29. The celebration of 52 years of diplomatic relations (1973–2025) will feature a friendly match between the former Manchester United players and Vietnamese stars, promoting sports diplomacy and tourism between Vietnam and the United Kingdom.

Quang Nam launches 2025 Culture, Sports, and Tourism Week

The central province of Quang Nam on June 6 kicked off its 2025 Culture, Sports, and Tourism Week to develop new travel products and foster partnerships with local and international stakeholders. The locality is home to two UNESCO World Heritage Sites, including Hoi An Ancient Town and My Son Sanctuary, and 20 national intangible cultural heritage sites.

Over 150 young athletes compete in national roller championship

More than 150 young athletes from 10 provinces and cities competed in the 2025 National Youth Roller Sports Championship in Tien Giang on June 6–7. The event featured 36 contests in speed skating, artistic skating, and skateboarding, with two international experts from the Asian Skating and Skateboarding Confederation overseeing the tournament to ensure professional standards.
