General Secretary To Lam to visit Indonesia, ASEAN Secretariat, Singapore
General Secretary To Lam and his spouse will pay a state visit to Indonesia, an official visit to the ASEAN Secretariat, and an official visit to Singapore from March 9-13, at the invitations of Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto, ASEAN Secretary-General Kao Kim Hourn, and Singaporean Prime Minister Lawrence Wong.
Vietnam strengthens commitment to nuclear disarmament, multilateral cooperation
Vietnam reaffirmed its commitment to global nuclear disarmament, multilateralism and international cooperation at the Third Meeting of States Parties to the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons (TPNW) in New York (March 3-7). Vietnamese Ambassador to the United Nations Dang Hoang Giang stressed Vietnam's commitment to the elimination of nuclear weapons and urged nations to ratify the treaty and strengthen nuclear-weapon-free zones and disarmament efforts.
Vietnam-Indonesia trade hit $16 billion in 2024
Vietnam-Indonesia bilateral trade exceeded $16 billion in 2024, doubling from $8.07 billion in 2020, marking significant economic growth. Indonesian Deputy Minister Nurul Ichwan highlighted Vietnam’s rising investment in Indonesia, especially in EVs and renewable energy. Both nations aim to expand trade and investment, leveraging ASEAN and RCEP frameworks to strengthen regional economic cooperation.

Ba To Uprising Museum reopens ahead of 80th anniversary
The Ba To Uprising Museum in the central province of Quang Ngai will reopen its doors to visitors on March 8, following a series of renovations to enhance the visitor experience. The reopening marks the 80th anniversary of the Ba To Uprising (March 11, 1945). The museum preserves more than 260 historical artifacts and documents highlighting the importance of the revolution in Vietnam's struggle for independence.
Quang Nam launches new east-west tourism route to boost regional travel

The central province of Quang Nam, home to UNESCO World Heritage Site Hoi An, has launched a new east-west tourism route combining Hoi An, My Son and Dong Giang to boost tourism, relieve pressure on heritage sites and showcase diverse cultures. The initiative was unveiled at the Quang Nam 2025 International Tourism Conference, which also highlighted investment promotion efforts and sustainable tourism development strategies for the province.
International student film festival gathers 100 universities in HCMC
The ISMA 2025 International Student Film Festival, hosted by Van Lang University in Ho Chi Minh City until July 2025, brings together nearly 100 universities from 15 countries. With competitions in short film, animation, interactive art and AI narrative, the event promotes cultural exchange, creativity and technological innovation in media and digital arts.
