Vietnam aims for global semiconductor leadership

Vietnam has key factors to become a global semiconductor hub, including new investment, a strategic location, and government support through the Vietnam's 2030 Semiconductor Industry Strategy. However, challenges remain in terms of labor shortages and advanced technology capabilities. By improving training programs, fostering public-private partnerships, and ensuring stable energy supplies, Vietnam can leverage these strengths to solidify its position in the global semiconductor supply chain.

 

Estonia looks to strengthen digital ties with Vietnam

A high-level Estonian delegation visited Hanoi on November 5 to explore digital transformation partnerships with Vietnam. Estonia, a global digital leader with 99% of public services delivered online, aims to share expertise and build cooperation in IT and AI. Meetings with Vietnamese government agencies and technology companies are expected to promote joint innovation and technology growth.

 

Da Lat emerges as Vietnam's "flower city

The 10th Da Lat Flower Festival 2024 celebrates the city as Vietnam’s "Flower City" and UNESCO Creative City of Music. The festival spans the entire year, with a highlight in December. Under the theme "Da Lat Flowers - A Symphony of Colors," the event aims to promote tourism and cultural heritage through stunning flower displays, international art exchanges, and a grand opening on December 5.

Vietnam celebrates national branded companies

Vietnam's National Brand Council awarded National Brand status to 190 companies with 359 products in 2024, the highest number ever. Launched in 2003, the program promotes strong Vietnamese brands to enhance the country's global competitiveness. The awards recognize the creativity and leadership of these companies, which are essential to Vietnam's digital and green transformation.

 

Women's football gets new championship platform

The Thien Khoi National Women's 7-a-side Football Championship will be held for the first time in Hanoi from November 9-17, featuring eight teams from across Vietnam. The tournament aims to promote women's football by creating a new platform for players, increasing income opportunities and attracting public and media interest.

 

Vietnam honors football excellence with Golden Ball

The 2024 Vietnam Golden Ball Award Gala will be held in Ho Chi Minh City in February 2025. The award includes Golden, Silver and Bronze categories for male, female and futsal players. Now in its 29th year, the award recognizes outstanding contributions to Vietnamese football, with voting beginning in late November.
