Vietnamese cuisine promoted through digital platforms

The 2024 program "Transforming Ingredients, Cooking Millions of Vietnamese Dishes" has been launched to promote Vietnamese tourism and culinary culture. The program expands an online food map of Vietnamese dishes and uses digital platforms to highlight local ingredients and showcase the country's rich culinary diversity, while promoting tourism through interactive experiences and community contributions.

Hoi An showcases cultural heritage at South Korean festival

Hoi An participated in the Andong International Mask Dance Festival in South Korea from September 27 to October 6, showcasing unique Vietnamese folk performances. The event highlighted Vietnam's cultural heritage through traditional music, folk dances and "hat boi", promoting Hoi An as a distinctive cultural tourism destination while facilitating international exchanges.

Screenplay contest winners highlight revolutionary milestones

The winners of the 2023-2024 film script competition to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (1930-2030) have been announced. "Choosing a Genius" by Le Ngoc Minh won second place in the feature film category, while "Young Journalist Seeking Novelist Son Tung" by Dao Tue Trinh won second place in the documentary category, highlighting important Party milestones and revolutionary figures. 

 

Ba Ria-Vung Tau improves business environment 

Ba Ria-Vung Tau is improving its business environment with a focus on streamlining administrative procedures to draw investment. In the first nine months of 2024, foreign invetors registered US$1.9 billion. In 2023, the province ranked 6th in Vietnam's 2023 PCI and 8th in the Green Index.

 

Ninh Thuan celebrates Kate Festival

The traditional Kate Festival, the biggest festival of the Cham Brahman people in the central province of Ninh Thuan, is held from October 1 to 3, attracting a large number of locals and tourists.

Recognized as a National Intangible Cultural Heritage in 2017, the Kate Festival allows visitors to witness rituals such as the Genie Costume Procession and the opening of the Tower Gates, and enjoy folk games, pottery, sports competitions, and fashion shows.

Vietnam's fruit and vegetable exports to hit US$7 billion target

Vietnam's fruit and vegetable exports are expected reach US$7 billion this year.

Besides China, Vietnamese fruits and vegetables are making significant inroads into key markets such as the US, South Korea, and ASEAN countries. 

 

Garment - textile industry pins high expectations on FDI inflows

Vietnam's garment and textile industry attracted US$37 billion between January and August, according to the Vietnam Textile and Apparel Association.

FDI accounts for 65% of the industry's total export turnover. Vietnam is the third largest textile exporter in the world, after China and Bangladesh.
