Vietnam joins Italy's World Chili Pepper Fair

At the 12th World Chili Pepper Trade Fair in Rieti, Italy, held from August 30 to September 3, Vietnam coordinated with the Vietnamese Embassy and Trade Office in Italy to showcase its products such as chili, black pepper, tea, coffee, cinnamon and anise. It is part of the Vietnam-Italy Year 2023 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of bilateral diplomatic relations.

The Vietnam-South Korea Festival will be held in the seaside city of Danang from September 7 to 9, featuring prominent activities such as parades, traditional musical instrument performances, and a Vietnamese food-making competition.

The event aims to enhance understanding, promote cooperation and deepen friendly relations between Danang and Korean localities. The city welcomed more than 700,000 South Korean visitors in the first half of this year.

Vietnam qualifies for 2nd round after beating Uzbekistan

The Vietnam women's volleyball team defeated Uzbekistan 3-0 in the group stage of the 2023 Asian Women's Volleyball Championship in Thailand. It was the team's second win after beating South Korea 3-2 in the first match, which put Vietnam at the top of Group C and qualified the team for the second round with a game in hand.

Today (September 1), Vietnam will play their last group stage match against Taiwan (China).

Vietnam to participate in Asiad 19 with 504 members

Vietnam will send 504 athletes to the Hangzhou 2022 Asian Games (Asiad 19), held from September 23 to October 9. They will compete in 31 sports with the aim of winning just three gold medals. The athletes will start their journey to Asia's biggest sporting event on September 19.

The opening ceremony is scheduled for September 23. The sports event was once postponed in 2022 due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

More than 18,000 Vietnamese scientific studies published internationally

In 2020-2022, Vietnam had more than 18,000 scientific research published internationally per year, double the figure recorded in 2018-2022, according to the Ministry of Education and Training. The research focused on four fields: physical sciences, health sciences, social sciences, and life sciences. The number increased sharply from nearly 9,000 in 2018 to over 12,600 in 2019 and more than 18,500 in 2022.

Free double-decker bus tickets for visitors to Hanoi on National Day holiday

Visitors to Hanoi will enjoy free rides on double-decker buses for sightseeing around the city during the four-day National Day holiday (September 1-4). Seven double-decker buses will be available for tourists, with a frequency of 36 trips per day.

Hanoi to host 2023 Startup and Innovation Competition

The Hanoi People's Committee has launched the 2023 Hanoi Startup and Innovation Competition to encourage technology-driven startup ideas and projects for the city's development. Applications will be accepted from September 18 to September 20, 2023.

The award ceremony will be held on October 14 at the National Convention Center. The best startup ideas and projects will qualify for the city's Investment Connection Forum and other events.
