Art program to support recovery efforts in northern provinces

 

The “Danang Love and Compassion” art program will take place on September 29 to raise funds for northern provinces affected by Typhoon Yagi. All donations will go to the Danang Fatherland Front to aid those impacted. The show will be broadcast live on Danang TV's digital platform.

Vietnam to launch dengue vaccine for first time 

Vietnam has officially begun administering Takeda's dengue vaccine for the first time for children aged four and older. This vaccine has been developed over 45 years and is now available in over 40 countries. It effectively protects against all four dengue virus serotypes, with an efficacy exceeding 80%. The vaccination schedule requires two doses three months apart, aiming to reduce severe cases and fatalities.

Vietnam and Japan to strengthen cultural and tourism ties

 

Vietnam and Japan on September 20 emphasized strengthening cooperation in culture, sports, and tourism through cultural diplomacy and people-to-people exchanges. The meeting also discussed upcoming events like the 10th anniversary of the Vietnam-Japan University and support for cultural festivals, further enhancing bilateral relations.

French Institute fosters Vietnam's comic industry

 

The French Institute is supporting Vietnam's comic industry by connecting Vietnamese and French authors and organizing a comic creation contest. The program also features workshops for young translators and a seminar on comic publishing in France and Vietnam. Winners will attend the prestigious Angoulême Comic Festival in France.

Hanoi Children's Palace, a modern facility costing VND1.300 trillion (US$55 million), was inaugurated on September 21. Covering 40,000 square meters, it features a cinema, four-season pool, multipurpose hall, and a theater, serving as a key cultural and sports hub for local youth.

Ho Chi Minh City to invest $6 million to renovate famous stadium 

 

Ho Chi Minh City is investing nearly VND150 billion ($6 million) to renovate Thong Nhat Stadium to improve conditions for athletes and the public, enhance the city’s sports center, and support the 2026 National Sports Games.
