US promotes investment in Vietnam

As of early 2024, the United States has invested in about 1,340 projects in Vietnam worth US$11.8 billion, ranking 11th among 108 foreign investors in Vietnam. In particular, the US takes first place in the export of agricultural products to Vietnam, with a total turnover of US$8.58 billion from January to August.

 

Government calls on joint-stock commercial banks to support the economy

At a meeting on September 21, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh called on commercial banks to support businesses and people, especially in terms of interest rates, during the difficult period following Typhoon Yagi. The meeting, attended by 13 joint-stock commercial banks, aimed to find solutions to promote the country's socio-economic development. As of September 17, the credit growth of the whole system was 7.38% compared to the end of 2023.

Deputy PM attends China-ASEAN Expo

Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc will attend the 21st China-ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO) and the China-ASEAN Business and Investment Summit (CABIS) in Nanning, Guangxi Province, China on September 23-24. The visit is at the invitation of the Chinese government.

Danang hosts national sailing competition for the first time

The 2024 National Sailing Championship was held at Ha Khe Beach in Danang from September 20-22, with 50 athletes from 9 provinces competing for 20 medals.
This is the first time the city has hosted the event, as it has favorable conditions to support the future development of the country's water sports.


Impressions of Hue Festival 

The Hue Ao Dai Festival 2024, themed "Linh Phung," will occur on September 23 at Song Huong Theater. Featuring 12 designers, the event blends fashion, music, and dance, inspired by the Phoenix in Nguyen Dynasty culture. Directed by Quang Tu, attendees are encouraged to wear Ao Dai.

Thousands of runners to take up challenge in Dong Thap

The Dat Sen Hong Marathon Dong Thap 2024, to be held on October 12-13 at Van Mieu Square, will attract 10,000 participants, including 2,000 children. With the theme "Pioneering - Breaking Through", the race offers 5km, 10km, 21km, and 42km distances through Dong Thap's scenic lotus fields and villages, promoting health and community spirit.

Lam Dong promotes culture with flower festival

The Central Highlands province of Lam Dong aims to promote culture and tourism through a flower festival next December. Now in its tenth year, the event includes exciting activities such as an art program to welcome the New Year 2025, a flower exhibition area, and a workshop on green tourism development. About 6.8 million tourists visited Lam Dong from January to August, up 18.5% year-on-year.

Volunteers unite to promote environmental awareness in Khanh Hoa

The 2024 World Cleanup Day was held in Khanh Hoa on September 21, attracting locals and tourists. The event aimed to raise environmental awareness and promote green and sustainable practices. The cleanup highlighted the importance of reducing waste and fostering eco-friendly tourism in Nha Trang.
