World Police Concert 2025: International colors illuminate Hanoi’s streets

The World Police Concert 2025 brought a vibrant wave of international harmony to the heart of Hanoi, as colorful musical traditions converged along the banks of Hoan Kiem Lake on August 9-10.

THE HANOI TIMES — Nine bands and one drum troupe from seven countries, including the Russian Federation, Japan, China, Laos, Cambodia, Saudi Arabia, and the host Vietnam turned the streets of Hanoi into a living stage, where cultural expressions, military precision, and national pride intertwined.

More than just a musical gathering, the concert echoed Vietnam’s foreign policy of being a friend, a reliable partner, and a responsible member of the global community.

The special event, hosted by the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam in collaboration with the Japan Association for Health, Security and Safety, served as a meaningful platform to promote the image of Vietnam’s land and people to international friends, showing Vietnam's goodwill and role in promoting peace and cooperation.

The concert was held as part of a series of major national events marking the 80th anniversary of the  August Revolution, National Day (September 2) , the 80th anniversary of the People’s Public Security Traditional Day, and the 20th anniversary of National Security Day. These milestones offered a poignant backdrop for a festival that celebrated both heritage and international friendship.

Each participating group contributed its own unique musical language, honoring the tradition, showcasing discipline, and offering a glimpse into the cultural character of their nation’s law enforcement forces.

Locals and international visitors expressed their excitement at the vibrant sounds to experience such a diverse and dynamic showcase of international police music gathered in one place.
