Recently, the Hanoi People's Committee also approved the third batch of residential and urban area projects under the 2021-2025 Development Plan. The city will add six social housing projects with a total area of nearly 13 hectares in districts including Ba Dinh, Long Bien, Thanh Tri, and Thach That. These projects are expected to provide over 8,300 apartments with a total area of approximately 655,000 square meters of floor space, with a total investment of nearly VND6 trillion (US$242.3 million).

Land clearance for these projects is nearly complete, and they are expected to be finished between 2026 and 2029.

Alongside the announcement of social housing projects, the Hanoi People's Committee has updated 10 ongoing residential projects, which are expected to be completed next year with over 1,000 units. By 2025, Hanoi is scheduled to complete 26 projects with nearly 9,900 units. Additionally, 36 projects (around 49,000 units) are currently under investment procedures in districts such as Gia Lam, Hoai Duc, Dong Anh, Thanh Tri, Dan Phuong, and Thuong Tin.
