By early morning on July 7, local authorities and the Ho Chi Minh City Police Department had cordoned off the area and launched an investigation. The identities of the victims have not yet been released. This is considered one of the deadliest residential fires in the city so far this year.

On July 7, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh signed Official Telegram No. 105/CD-TTg, urging the municipal People’s Committee to coordinate with the Ministry of Public Security to promptly investigate the cause of the fire and handle any violations strictly according to the law. He also requested immediate material and emotional support for the victims’ families to help them recover and stabilize their lives.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and Deputy PM Nguyen Hoa Binh, on behalf of the Government, extended their deepest condolences to the families of the victims.

On July 7, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Nguyen Van Nen and Chairman of the People’s Committee Phan Van Mai visited the families to offer their condolences.
