The "Tree of Life" symbolizes the rebirth of nature and the ability to rise up and overcome fate, and holds the meaning of humans' strong vitality, passionate desires, and expectations for the future.

Justine Felizarta of the Philippines was selected as the 1st runner-up. Le Thi Huong Ly, from the host country, Vietnam, was named the 2nd runner-up. Ly was also the first runner-up of Miss Globe Vietnam 2022 held in October.

"I am very happy today and trying to bring Vietnam to the world and the world to Vietnam," Erina Hanawa said.

As the first respondent, the Philippine representative shared that this was a special trip as it is her first time in Vietnam. "I am happy to visit new lands and receive hospitality from Vietnamese people. Vietnam is a beautiful country, rich in cultural traditions and I look forward to sharing with people in the Philippines about the love of the Vietnamese people," said the Philippine beauty queen.

Proof of a safe and hospitable Vietnam

The Miss Tourism World 2022 coronation night was staged outdoors with a spectacular design and beautiful sound and light. Despite the cold of about 17 degrees Celsius in Vinh Phuc city, a large crowd turned out to watch and support the contestants. The highlight of the final stage was the elegant and delicate Ao Dai (traditional Vietnamese long dress) performance of 35 contestants combined with the Cheraw dance.

The crown of Miss Tourism World 2022 is inspired by the image of the “Tree of life” in the culture and beliefs of many people around the world.

Before the night, Missosology website shared photos of contestants in Vietnam. It wrote: “Thank you, Vietnam. The whole world witnessed your amazing journey in this year's Miss Tourism World. Thank you for letting Missosology candidates and followers experience the beauty of your country.”

Miss Tourism World 2022, with the motto "Bring the world to Vietnam", has promoted Vietnamese tourist destinations. John Singh, the founder of the contest, said the contestants had great experiences as they passed through five provinces of Vietnam.

"We have seen a really safe and different Vietnam. We will share real photos and information about the wonderful people and country of Vietnam with all our friends," he said.

Through Miss Tourism World, the contestants and the public were able to discover new lands. They are proud to bring the world to Vietnam and also to bring Vietnam to the world.

Especially, the success of Miss Tourism World 2022 is proof that Vietnam is a safe and open destination for tourism, while the Covid-19 pandemic has been affecting the whole world.

Miss Tourism World began in 1991, becoming one of the five largest pageants in the world. The beauty pageant is expected to help popularize host tourism.

During the final round of the contest, the contestants visited different tourist attractions in the north of Vietnam, including Hanoi. In the capital city, they visited dozens of places namely Hoan Kiem Lake, Ngoc Son Temple, Bat Trang Pottery Village, the Temple of Literature, Thang Long Imperial Citadel, among others.
