Hanoi Business Association aims to become a credible information channel for local authorities and enterprises, boosting the efficiency of public investment and simplifying administrative procedures.

Hanoi is committed to providing further support and creating favorable conditions for enterprise development in 2021.

Vice Chairman of the Hanoi Party Committee Nguyen Manh Quyen stressed the view at the 3rd Congress of the Hanoi Business Association (HBA) for tenure 2020-25 held recently in Hanoi.
“The local authorities will provide a platform for the business community to make breakthroughs in 2021 and the subsequent years,” stressed Mr. Quyen, expecting the private sector to realize its role as a growth driver for the city.
Mr. Quyen noted that the city will conduct measures to ensure sustainable and rapid development of the private sector, especially policies to aid enterprises resume operation in the post-Covid-19 pandemic.
“In 2021, Hanoi continues to give priority to the implementation of the Law on Provision of Assistance for Small- and Medium-sized Enterprises and other government’s resolutions in expanding the business community,” added Mr. Quyen.
Another key target is to promote innovation startups and realize two programs on supporting startups and SMEs in 2021 and 2021-25, he noted.
Mr. Quyen also pointed out the necessity of enhancing efficiency in public investment and simplifying administrative procedures in investment activities, saying these are key tasks in further attracting investment capital to Hanoi.

During this process, the city continues to provide training for SMEs to improve the quality of human resources, invest in industrial parks, and draft new incentive policies for enterprises operating in R&D process.
Re-elected as HBA President, Mr. Nguyen Hong Son said the agency is determined to provide support for enterprises in the digital transformation and actively addressing the concerns of the business community right in the first year of the 2020-25 term.
“The HBA aims to become a credible information channel for local authorities in proposing solutions and policies for enterprise development,” Mr. Son stated.
